Description

Workers in extreme cold temperatures face one of the toughest challenges – staying productive in the cold. The PIP® FR garments are engineered with high-performance materials to provide advanced thermal protection, flame resistance and protection against arc flash exposure. Ideal for mining crews, petrochemical, oil & gas workers, utilities, and welding, in cold climates.

  • Outer Shell: 7oz Ripstop 88% Cotton/ 12% Nylon Fabric with 7oz Khaki FR twill weave fabric for lining
  • Outer Shell: High tenacity Aramid FR thread, bar-tacked at all stress points
  • Outer Shell: Protective stand-up collar with hook and loop closure
  • Outer Shell: Detachable hood with 3 snaps that attach to jacket
  • Outer Shell: Heavy Duty brass zipper, with storm guard and hook and loop closure
  • Outer Shell: Action back for added mobility

The NFPA has identified the various FR hazardous risk category levels, which range from PPE 1 (which is low risk and requires AR clothing with a minimum arc rating of 4), up to PPE 4 (which is high risk and requires AR clothing with a minimum arc rating of 40). Each level, 1-4, is rated at a certain amount of flame resistance measured in cal/cm2.
